Night Owl
Well don't I feel silly now. The Fx4 1.2 add-on was installed under my "Themes" tab under Add-ons. It does have an "Uninstall" button. Hmmm, who would have thought a theme would appear under the Themes tab? :DAnyway, I really do like this theme. Thank you so much, heath. HX1
LOL.. Okay...you had me worried there for a second... Oh and by the way.. you think that theme had too much glass.. You should see two others I have found which go 'Full Glass' I mean it appears to be floating text and images on webpages.. and an ad-on for Window which does other windows.. I remember seeing the concept and thinking it was cool.. but now its a reality.. Really surprised me though..
Night Owl
@heath28m: I was worried there a bit too ... thought I might be stuck with Fx4 forever. :D I love it now, but you never know in the future.Yeah, I remember your post back in November. That "strata40 mod edition" theme was almost 100% glass and way too much for me. I was happy with the "All-Glass Firefox mod, based on Glasser v2.1.4" add-on you mentioned before, but this Fx4 theme is even better.Hmmm, your upcoming full-glass themes sound interesting, but I don't like too much glass. I want to see the Web pages. :D I found a bug with the Fx4 options though. I do not have "Show History on menu" checked, but it shows me my history when I click on the App Button. If I do check "Show History on menu", then it does not show me my history.
HX1
Sounds like a settings problem.. I would look at your prefs.js file.. while Firefox is closed.. and I would look for duplicate entries for that setting, in both regular settings and in other settings related to the installation... What could happen (like a switch) two offs CAN in some cases make an on.. I had the same problem with autoHideStatusBar.. The icon would not hide in the status bar and it would do it but when I restarted the browser it would come right back. I am still not for sure if it had to do with how the extension was written or if it was because of a change that was not accounted for in FF.. But what I eventually did was unpack the .jar file in the chrome folder for the extension and replace the image with a blank one that I edited in Fireworks CS4..(actually just extracted, then modified).. repacked the .jar file as a .zip( or if you keep WinRAR open you can just drag and drop then choose to replace) then renamed it to .jar... I would post about it for the Bug Report of w/e for the theme and see. (it even just be a small incompatibility with nother extension as well) Oh and this was the link to the all Glass.. http://dragon823.deviantart.com/art/strata40-mod-edition-143539574 what you don't realize is that is the page to download Firefox..Two example of the System Themes are here http://fediafedia.deviantart.com/art/WIP-Glass-4-WindowBlinds-Vista-102548897 and here http://nguyenxuanhoa.deviantart.com/art/VS-full-glass-for-win7-149409301 http://phantommenace2020.deviantart.com/art/full-glass-149998657
Night Owl
I checked my %APPDATA%\Firefox\Profiles\________.default\prefs.js file, but everything looks fine (and is sorted alphabetically to check everything easily):user_pref("fx4.buttonslabel", false);user_pref("fx4.fission", true);user_pref("fx4.glass", true);user_pref("fx4.historymenu", false);user_pref("fx4.hometab", false);user_pref("fx4.tabprogressbar", true);user_pref("fx4.tabprogressbarselected", true);user_pref("fx4.toptabs", true);I will send the author a bug report. EDIT: Done. E-mail sent to author.Wow, you're right. That "strata40 mod edition" theme screenshot is the Firefox download page!! :omg: There's so much glass, you can't even tell what you're looking at!!That first Windows glass theme has just too much glass. I can't view the second one, VS full glass for win7, because I'm told I need to be a member to view Mature art.
HX1
Well I can assure there isn't anything questionable .. :lmao: It must be the 'Full Glass' naked, exploited Windows 7 'pornography' that has it blocked.. :lmao: or they are just bucking for a raise in member numbers.. But yeah that seems to happen a lot.. with lots of stuff..Unless the author is thinking he is minimizing the support call volume by keeping it 'Adult'.. ( which is so not true..)Okay so this is 'Full Glass' by ~phantommenace2020971 KB total .. file included for 32 and 64 bit.. Full Glass can be turned on and off by running the small app.. and closing the app..Easier to check out for yourself and everyone else, IF you like the app you should probably register a free account and tell the author..Site: http://www.mediafire.com/Code: ?mjoz0m3ynxu
