Much faster than v.3.5.5

It has a separate installation. You can keep 3.5.5 and use both or uninstall this one after having 3.6beta2 installed.

You should report this at the site as a bug... or search for it to see if a ticket exists for it yet.. Can't complain if your voice has never been heard.. ;)

EDIT: On another note, I have just found out that version 4 Minefeild.. has become 3.7..If I am not mistaken...Oh yeah and SUPPOSEDLY its three times faster or promised to be 3x faster than Chrome..

BTW: You can get the new UI look and feel by applying this theme..https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13579

This was originally also pictured as the UI for 4, but now is tagged as being default for 3.7..

Has anyone tried the new addon called Personas made by Mozilla? It's really amazing. It adds themes to Firefox but the thing is that these themes are very lightweight, hardly make Firefox take any more RAM, and doesn't slow it down. I'm using the 'Groovy Blue' theme. Once you installed Personas, look at the fox pic on the bottom left and click it. Then choose a theme from there, you can even see previews of them before you apply them. Stunning work by Mozilla. ^_^

Only thing is that sometimes the RoboForm toolbar (latest) doesn't change to the theme colours but if you disable it, then enable then it does follow the theme.

Note: I'm using Firefox 3.5.5.

You can go to this link.. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/3.6a1/releasenotes/ and report anything you may need to.. there is a link with specific instructions on Bug Report/filing/tracking..

When it crashes it does send a bug report.. However.. some incompatibilities and problems are not always recorded.. nor reported.. so doing a search for the BUG and then reporting it may in some cases be the only way to get it in someone's face .. Like a small incompatibility.. through a third party application.. which may be advisable to also make note of it to them.. Depends on where the issue may lie.. and the other companies may not support it until its official release.. But yeah that link..

@fl00py - This installs will not effect any other items installations in your system they are safe to install and test.. I haven't had an issue yet..

Keep in mind that Alpha and Beta stages are for testing purposes only.. so try to stay away from 'important' operations on these installations..

Well.. its not a big deal.. Its a just a precaution and you may even have a few browser crashes.. but nothing BIG.. like screwing up the rest of your system or existing installs.. so no worries.

The good points I found using this witch is in the change log sites that use java and flash that error out on me in 3.5 work for me in 3.6 beta 2

The downside I find Tor button addon no longer working in 3.6 and theres other addon there a new add on you can install witch you report non working addons trough firefox.

Add-on Compatibility Reporter its called after installing your incompatible extensions will become enabled for you to report if they work are not.. ;)

I actually have a better link for exact instructions on how to properly modify your FF installation to look exactly as 4.0.. What made me recant was this mod.. http://dragon823.deviantart.com/art/strata40-mod-edition-143539574 quite nice..

The tutorial does not include the full glass effect as shown at the above link .. but is the first steps in getting there....http://www.webupd8.org/2009/08/make-firefox-35-look-like-firefox-40.html OR another one that seems to be up to date.. and simpler.. http://www.askvg.com/download-mozilla-firefox-3-7-mockup-theme-now/
