May's Office Insider build on Windows refreshes the Outlook calendar

Microsoft has released the monthly build of the Office suite of apps to Insiders in the Monthly Channel (targeted) on Windows devices. The updates add a few new features to Outlook and Access. Excel is getting natural language queries in the Ideas pane, but that feature was announced as generally available at the end of last month, so it shouldn't be new.

For Outlook, Microsoft has redesigned the calendar experience in a number of ways. The visual refresh was first made available to Fast ring Insiders and detailed back in March. It features new calendar-colored items, bold header, a new time indicator bar, a new details card, and much more.

Finally, Access is getting a couple of improvements, too. There's a new Add Tables pane that makes it easier to find tables and queries in a database to create relationships. From the Database Tools tab, select Relationships and the Add Tables pane should be visible. Microsoft has also added a new data type to Access, called Date & Time Extended, which has a wider date range and more precise times to improve compatibility with SQL and make time-based records more accurate.

As usual, these updates may not be rolled out to everyone right away, so some users may already be seeing the new features while others might not. You can always check for updates manually if you're in a hurry.
