Nurses protest in front of White House(8 images)

Registered nurses protest in front of the White House in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, demanding the Trump administration provide more protective gear for healthcare workers during the coronavirus pandemic. The members of National Nurses United, the nation's largest nurses union, read aloud the names of colleagues who have died of COVID-19.

Perhaps their time would be better spent protesting in front of the Chinese embassy.  After all, China is not allowing U.S. manufacturers to ship millions of masks and other PPE gear back to America.I

And you forgot to mention Trump blocking all 3M masks and PPE to other countries including a close ally in Canada. Or how about he sends troops to the US/Canada border for no reason. BTW many Canadian Medical frontline workers went to help the US.

I am shocked that Trump's effort to ease the shortage of personal protection equipment (PPE) by temporarily blocking exports is offensive to the nurses.  After all, it was intended to benefit them.  And, exports of PPE to Mexico, Canada and U.S. entities are exempted.

These nurses are protesting for the safety of themselves as well as the greater public. They are making the public aware that they have co-workers that have died fighting this disease. Rather than show empathy and compassion for them some people like to brush them off and tell them to go to China. The medical people don't care about politics, they care about saving lives.

temporarily blocking exports? To an ally, that has always been a good friend to America? The same Canadians that have sent supplies/aid to help america in natural disasters, 9/11, etc. (including Covid-19 fight)

If anyone is to blame, blame trump for his inability to lead a nation during a crisis, Lies to his nation constantly, Endangers the lives of people by giving stupid medical advise, initially brushing off covid-19 as a hoax and not preparing to acquire medical supplies (despite pleas from medical experts.) before SHTF.

Late addition: had trump acted sooner, Most Americans would have been back to work already.

Perhaps, in Ontario, Ford should have taken the virus serious earlier instead of encouraging families to "Go away, have a good time, enjoy yourself."

---------

"With current measures remaining in place, Ontario has suggested as many as 15,000 could die over the course of the pandemic, which officials say could last as long as two years.  But experts say the province's testing is inadequate and fails to capture the spread of the virus."

Doug ford is an idiot. Alberta the province I live in, is majority Conservative and We (the province) help other Canadian provinces with supplies, aid, etc. See in Canada we're not perfect and we know it. But, whats makes us great is our willingness to work together in the face of adversity, regardless of politics. We help each other. Best of all, we love and support our free health care system. we love and support all our medical people.
