NordLocker encrypted folder bounty

So yesterday NordLocker launched a campaign where hackers can try to crack into one of their encrypted folders, more information can be found here. Even if you don't know much about cryptography and encryption, this should be an interesting spectacle from a security and privacy perspective. I mean, they're offering a decent reward, so I wonder if hackers are willing to spend time on cracking encryption when they know that a reward is waiting. What do you guys make of all this?
