Coronavirus stockpilers can now find out how long their hundreds of toilet rolls will last them thanks to a handy new online tool.

The toilet paper calculator tells people exactly how long their loo roll stash should last them and if it will get them through the current Covid-19 crisis.

The website howmuchtoiletpaper.com asks users to fill in how many rolls of toilet paper they have in the house and how many trips are made to the toilet per day in the household.

For families with a few children in the house, a more precise guestimate users can also add in more specifics such as 'how many wipes per visit', 'sheets per wipe', 'sheets per roll', 'people in household' and 'days in quarantine'.

The innovative concept is the work of student software developer Ben Sassoon and artist Sam Harris who created the tool to prevent people from stockpiling and creating a shortage.

The pair, based in London, came up with the idea whilst chatting about how their toilet roll use would change during the crisis.

The growing coronavirus crisis has seen demand for toilet paper sky rocket across the globe.

Supermarkets in the UK have had to put special measures in place to stop people filling trollies with way more than they need.

Amidst the crisis, videos have been shared on social media of physical fights breaking out in some shops between customers all desperate for the last roll.

The toilet roll calculator became an instant hit, trending on twitter.

One user wrote: "The world needed this!"

Another tweeted: "Lol Is this OK? I don't even know... some people out they are set for like YEARS!"

That was sarcasm, poking fun of hoarders and pointing at their stupidity and greed. Anti social are the people that create panic and spread fear.

I have seen people with a Trolley full and i have never thought of the usage , on checking the calculator
48 rolls
5 people in the household
5 of you use the toilet 3 times a day

Plenty of wiping lol will last 17 days , so i wonder what people will do with the other 400 rolls ;)
