dufus
The United States on Wednesday (local time) announced that it is suspending all travel from European countries except the United Kingdom for the next 30 days as coronavirus cases in America reached 1,200. President Donald Trump, during his address to the nation, said that the European Union (EU) has failed to take precautions to restrict travel from China and other hotspots. Coronavirus, which originated from China, has spread to most parts of the world including Italy, the United Kingdom and France. Italy has recorded the maximum number of deaths from coronavirus -- over 800 -- besides China. "America is responding against coronavirus with great speed and professionalism. EU failed to take the same precautions to restrict travel from China and other hotspots," Trump said. "We will be suspending all travel from Europe to the US for 30 days. Restrictions will not apply to the United Kingdom," he said. sauce
ghost
Trump will be Trump. Downplays the spread of the COVID-19, until the spread got exponentially worse; Despite warnings from actually medical experts. Then comes along and acts like he's the Hero by doing this now, while the same experts have suggested this weeks back.
cosy
This may be the end of all his theatre and his presidency maybe coming to an end So for him there are no Chinese coming to US or United Kingdom? This is now a world problem, we have grown together now and the gap has actually narrowed to believe this. We are all dependent on the other in one way or the other

Really he didn't do nothing tell the World Health Organization said it was a pandemic they didn't announce that tell yesterday https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-who-idUSKBN20Y2OI Really AIDs is worse just coronavirus in the people it effects mostly the already sick is a fast killer but when AIDs was new it was killing healthy people left and right and once you catch it you don't ever get rid of it. It's a 96% chance you want die from it if you catch coronavirus, If you have HIV even with treatment you going to die in 10 years . You dont get better. Quote There have been more than 121,000 confirmed infections of COVID-19 worldwide as of March 11. While about 4,400 have died, just over half of those infected (66,239) have healed, including five from Ontario. Source: https://globalnews.ca/news/6659821/coronavirus-recovery-symptoms-hospital/ AIDS Worse Than Black Death https://www.webmd.com/hiv-aids/news/20020125/aids-worse-than-black-death So we know coronavirus is not man made or it would be much more deadly. Only because of modern medicine are the sick still living at all . _____ Over the last few decades, life expectancy has increased dramatically around the globe. The average person born in 1960, the earliest year the United Nations began keeping global data, could expect to live to 52.5 years of age. Today, the average is 72. In the UK, where records have been kept longer, this trend is even greater. In 1841, a baby girl was expected to live to just 42 years of age, a boy to 40. In 2016, a baby girl could expect to reach 83; a boy, 79. The natural conclusion is that both the miracles of modern medicine and public health initiatives have helped us live longer than ever before – so much so that we may, in fact, be running out of innovations to extend life further. In September 2018, the Office for National Statistics confirmed that, in the UK at least, life expectancy has stopped increasing. Beyond the UK, these gains are slowing worldwide. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20181002-how-long-did-ancient-people-live-life-span-versus-longevity Of course when a virus comes along with no cure people with weak immune systems will die its nothing new . its just like everything that kills you before they had medicine . People think there so smart they can out wit the grim reaper. But 2 things is sure in life thats death and taxes . We shouldn't be living past being sick anyway it's not natural when you get health problems .This is nature doing what it always done. in the 1800s people died 2 times as fast as they do now . If people had good diets in Ancient Times people lived to be older but most people in the last 200 years didn't take care of themselves so they died fast. Well nowadays people who don't take care of themselves cheat death 30 or 40 years because of medicine really they should of already been dead from they way they lived . I seen people suffer and it's sad i don't want to live to be very old , so i never go to the doctor when i die i will just die ,

(World Health Organization) made the announcement yesterday & declared COVID-19 a Pandemic. But many Americans Medical experts including CDC Doctors called for strong mitigation response and trump just sits on his ass and twiddled with his thumbs. Trump does his usual thing and blames Obama, Democrats, the media and anti trump Doctors. I am not an American, but I still care about American people. This is not about politics. Do a simple search and you will find lots of info. Furthermore many people have told him to either Lead, Follow, or get out of the way.

What good does it do to care unless it's your family or friends in real life people die from illness all the time Flu kills 250,000 to 500,000 every year . The first real evidence of the FLU virus comes about in 1580. In South African nearly 400 people die of an AIDS-related illness each day despite noble efforts by the government to get citizens tested and treated. 65 million people suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and 3 million die from it each year, making it the third leading cause of death worldwide.More than 7,000 people died from natural disasters in 2016, and 34,676 died from terrorism, About 56 million people in the world died in 2017. This is 10 million more than in 1990, as the global population has increased and people live longer on average. More than 70% die from non-communicable, chronic diseases. These are not passed from person to person and typically progress slowly. The biggest single killer is cardiovascular disease, which affects the heart and arteries and is responsible for every third death. This is twice the rate of cancers - the second leading cause - which account for about one in six of all deaths. Other non-contagious diseases such as diabetes, certain respiratory diseases and dementia are also near the top of the list. I find it annoying that people are going crazy about a infectious air born virus that will have a vaccine when these type of disease that will become preventable once they get it . they will be passing it out in the free clinics and stuff in the USA. it will be places like Africa were people will die the most , Meanwhile here in the USA all my life most of my family died from one of these disease above that are only treatable after you get them but many people die anyway in the 50 millions adding more and more each year , Worry about yourself and your own people not us because its more likely were are going to get hit by a car and die than we die from that virus, Something is going to kill us anyway. The Goverment cant do but so much to prevent diseases thats even after there is a vaccine .Because we have anti vaxers . Because you can't make people stay home without imposing medical Marshall law. They force kids to take there shots before there kids can go to school but some anti vaxers home school there kids because of there beliefs . vaccines have always been free but like any other diseases we almost wiped out in our country it took years for it to go dormant . Small Pox , measles are rare anymore . But even when there a vaccine the diseases sometime mutate were the treatment stops working. Tuberculosis (TB), malaria, and cholera--have reemerged or spread geographically since 1973, often in more virulent and drug-resistant forms. I still catch the FLU sometimes but its been years i never took a Flu shot but i took all my required shots when going to school .By the time i went to school they no longer gave Small Pox shots but my parents had to take them . While contradicting people in his own administration that are leading the frontline fight against this virus. Whether the media hyped this up or not is besides the point. A small fire started, it cloud have been contained with a fire extinguisher. instead he sits on his ass till it spread then acts like the hero for calling 911. If that vaccine doesn't arrive for a another year or so, and that's what I'm reading, the virus will already have swept through the population. If so, the best the vaccine will do is protect the few who have avoided the virus, and possibly prevent future re-infections (it's unknown if getting the virus will confer permanent immunity). The best hope for an early vaccine is for a Chinese one. I read that they are speeding up the usual steps to try and get an effective vaccine out quickly. Secondly, I think it's wrong to compare this virus to influenza... 1. Influenza has an annual vaccine that protects many of the most vulnerable. Without this vaccine the influenza mortality rates could be much higher. Coronavirus has (currently) no vaccine. 2. This influenza vaccine is fairly broadly administered which slows down its spread through herd immunity . Coronavirus has the potential to race through a population quickly. 3. Influenza has been around long enough for there to be some immunity in the population. This is a brand new virus so there is no such immunity.
