Guest
GeForce Game/Studio Ready Driver 442.19 WHQL changelogs: Spoiler Game Ready - The new Game Ready Driver provides the latest performance optimizations, profiles, and bug fixes for Zombie Army: Dead War 4. In addition, this release also provides optimal support for Apex Legends Season 4 and Metro Exodus: Sam's Story. Studio Driver Applications - Provides optimal support and bug fixes for the latest Studio applications including Redshift Renderer, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Foundry MODO, and more. Game Ready Driver New Features - Maximum Frame Rate In the last Game Ready Driver, we introduced a new Maximum Framerate Setting into the NVIDIA Control Panel which allowed gamers to set the max framerate a 3D application or game can render. With the latest Game Ready Driver, we've incorporated community feedback asking for the limits to be extended. As a result, framerate limits can be as low as 20fps and can be raised as high as 1000fps VRSS You can now also enable the feature on the Global tab, automatically activating it in all supported games. Not listed in Release Notes but in the Driver Article Also confirmed by Sean from Nvidia G-Sync Compatible Display - Added ASUS VG259QM, Dell AW2521HF, and LG 34GN850. Not listed in Release Notes but in the Driver Article Studio Driver Application Features - Adobe (beta variants) Siemens Star-CCM+ apps Siemens Star-CCM+ VR apps VRED - added VREDGo.exe to profile Modo - updated 'Luxology Modo' app profile name to 'Foundry Modo' Modo - enabled "Threaded Optimization" Game Ready Fixes (For full list of fixes please check out release notes) [The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine]: The game may crash when a user reaches a specific cut scene. You will need to open the NVIDIA Control Panel and refer to the System Information to determine what type of driver is installed (either DCH or Standard). More details here. Also for Windows 10 users running v1803 and above, you can migrate to use DCH driver from Standard driver as well, but not the other way around. Those with GTX 10, GTX 16, RTX 20 and TITAN (desktop only) and installed the Studio Driver can easily switch to Game-Ready driver and vice versa, but via the GeForce Experience App. More details here. Important note for Windows 7 users: Microsoft now provides only SHA-2 signed drivers. If your Windows 7 system is NOT equipped to detect SHA-2, you need to install the SHA-2 update support patches. For details as well as access to SHA-2 update support patches, see the Microsoft KBA "2019 SHA-2 Code Signing Support requirement for Windows and WSUS". https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4472027/2019-sha-2-code-signing-support-requirement-for-windows-and-wsus

The only thing to get clean version of non GTX and RTX drivers is to run NVSlimmer or manually extract via WinRAR and deleting unneeded folders and also editing the setup.cfg file. And this fixes it most often: Go to your registry: Start --> Run --> Type in "Regedit" Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers" Create a key of type "DWORD (32-bit)" and name "TdrDelay" with a value of 8 (can double click it to edit). Thanks, Eagle. I'll try that. I was just reading this article and this one. It says this: Quote Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers. Right-click and create a “DWORD (32-bit)” type of key (if you are using 64-bit OS then create QWORD (64-bit)) and set its name to “TdrDelay”. Set its value to 10 the first time. This gives 10 seconds of response time to your GPU instead of 2 (the initial value). If this does not work for you, try setting this value to 20 or 30. Does DWORD (32-bit) work on a 32-bit OS, or should I use QWORD (64-bit) ?

It's in any OS version only DWORD!! It's a 32-Bit value, no matter whether 32-Bit or 64-Bit OS. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/display/tdr-registry-keys

jvidal
TDR has nothing to do with driver irql not less or equal BSOD. TDR generates the "the display driver has stopped responding and it had to be reset" error (or words to that effect) or a BSOD, but related to a display time out issue, not to the irql not less or equal error.
