Karlston
Netmarketshare: Browser market share stayed the same while Windows 10 saw a slight drop As we enter the final month of 2019, Netmarketshare has released the data and it looks okay as far as browsers are concerned. On the OS side, there’s a slight drop in the Windows 10 market share. Windows 10 has recorded a significant rise in the last couple of months so seeing a drop was a surprising change of pace. The drop, however, isn’t significant as Windows 10 went from 54.30% to 53.78%. Coincidently, Apple’s macOS also saw a sight drop going from 5.11% to 4.06%. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 also registered a slight drop and now hold 26.67% and 3.66% respectively. Moving on to the web browsers, there’s not a huge change in the market share. Google Chrome is still dominating the market with 67.30% of the market share and is followed by Firefox at 8.61% and Internet Explorer at 7.43%. Coming at the last is Microsoft Edge with 6.23% of the market share. There was not a huge change in the market share in November and we expect to see a similar trend in December as well. luisam
The total of OS users credits 88.17%; so we miss information about an 11.83% of the users. Guess we may add about 1% for Windows XP, Vista, 98 etc... Hey, I even met a fellow some timie ago who still uses MS-DOS 6 with Windows 3.1 on a 486. He loves Dbase III and Lotus 123! Guess it might be Linux? Might mean that Linux the number of Linux users have increased? Of course, another doubt is, how many of Linux users are chemically pure and how many use multiboot with Windows / MAC installed because they need the commercial application only avaiable from there. The Netmarketshare page here (with the first image in the OP) and broken down by version adds up to more.
