We are sending you this message to inform you of a system-wide update that may affect your RoboForm account.
Effective November 1, 2019, RoboForm will no longer allow syncing from accounts with data from version 7 or prior. These are also known as multifile accounts.
After that date, RoboForm will only sync from accounts with version 8 data. These are also known as OneFile accounts.

So if you are using cracked versions V7 and older versions of the Android App.. you willl not enjoy free multiple device syncing..

No more free ride from. RoboForm...

What password manager do you recommend switching to? I've been paying for Roboform for a few years now so it really doesn't make any difference to me.... but I've tried several others and none compare to Roboform. I also don't think ANY of them let you sync between devices for free (unless you're using a browsers built in manager) & none I ever tried were successful in merging my Roboform data. Not a chance in hell I'm manually entering nearly 200 sites, user names, & passwords into a new manager. If you know of one that will convert my Roboform data correctly & is able to sync between devices for free.... let me know. :)

most newer password managers can do it.. i remember sticky password has one good import from many other pw managers.. but it requires a paid account or lifetime account to sync

So, I may as well just continue to pay for Roboform jf it requires a paid account.

keepass can import directly from roboform, also can save in a number of formats

KeePass was a pain to set up to get syncing between devices.

Thanks. But I'm just going to stick with Roboform

all you have to do is put the single keepass password database file on dropbox or onedrive or google drive.. sync and forget about it..

but if you can afford roboform s subscription service, no one is stopping you.

ADDENDUM:  if files on pc and mobile drive are the same perhaps one can set up a process where you can transfer the directory and files to your droid device.. like setting up a ftp server on one or use a 3rd party sync app.. One can possibly work out a way to extend functionality of roboform without upgrading to v8+

The only difference is you are not going through their servers which stores your online account and data.

This is similar to the LAN  sync feature of sticky fingers, i meant sticky password.. (sorry for the JOJO Bizarre Adntures  pun)

Since IOS is a walled garden... I have no immediate solutions for keepass and pc connectivity

Lastpass. Free version is more than enough for all purposes. I Use them since they come out in 2008, There is free sync between any devices you own. I have it on my Android, Laptop and Desktop. Nothing to be paid. Works for all my needs without any problems or issues.

testing Lastpass.  as a possible alternate.. since it is FREE as a multi device PW manager

Not sure if it will be free forever as these companies get greedy sometimes

(Updated) I reactivated my Last account as a contingency for my KEYPASS solution...

Exporting data toook a few attempts ..

1. Exporting accounts to CSV

2. Importing to Lastpass using Advanced options import..

If you have problems in migrating, you can ask me for help

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for an unofficial sync with ROBOFORM 7.x from your PC to you Android Mobile Devices.

1. You need to install/sideload  the old RoboForm_8.2.6.10_161_(4.1.x+).apk on your droid ... For those who need it the link is:

Site: https://www.upload.ee

Sharecode: /files/10630487/RoboForm_8.2.6.10_161__4.1.x__.apk.html

Make sure your Playstore is configures not to AUTOMATICALLY update APPS . If you get bumped to the latest version  on , you have to uninstal that and reinstall the old version.  You will have to disable automatic sync (this service will go away for this version anyway on nov 1) and resist the temptation to upgrade to the old V8 format..

2. If you are a user of the cracked ROBOFORM 7.x PC app and the Roboform 7 app. The data is located in your documents folder

C:\Users\"YOURSUSENAME"\Documents\My RoboForm Data\Default Profile\

You can use whatever PC to Android Software you have and copy the contents  to the ROBOFOM subdirectiry  folder located on the base storage of your fone

  • 9 months later...

I do wish I had read this all those months ago!

Anyway I have been using RF 7 on my PC and god knows what android version. Although I stopped using sync a while ago I have still been able to use the PC version (and the android one independently) without getting any prompt to upgrade and so, as I was no longer syncing online, I was quite happily using the local password cards, all 367 of them(!)

Well, they say there is no such thing as a free lunch, right?

Right!

Now I am being forced to upgrade somehow to v8. How this came about is a long boring story that I will save you from, but just to say that I am stuck in a loop with the damned installed for v8 after I decided I would go ahead and let it upgrade because it was forcing me to anyway. Well that was a big mistake because it rendered it totally unusable! I could no longer even access the logins, despite my preventing the new installer from converting the passcards to v8 new ones forever, (as it informed me was about to happen) .

So I was stuck. I did something I haven't done since I installed this Windows about 2 years ago. I used System Restore!!!!!

Oh oh, hang on a mo' ... looks like it bloody worked guvnor! I got me ol v7 roboform back and here I am browsing through me old login files! Whoopeeeeee!

Only sensible course of action now is to get a different password manager and forget RF. The free ride lasted soooooooooo long though, didn't it?

Who else had been using roboform with different cracks along the way, for years..? Decades? Over a decade at least. It has been fun! What a great software it's been over those years!

Thank you to those above for telling me a lot of info I didn't already know and helping me to be able to transfer my RF files over to either lastpass or something else as I may try a few to experiment. Now I know how to go about itnso a HUGE THANK YOU to you all for this.

Cheers!
FaeGiN.
