Apache 2.2.x vs IIS6

Take away mod_security or any IIS or apache security IPS/IDS software and which do you think is safer?

Some say IIS is unsafe but the new version is said to only have one exploit which equals apache in that respect.

Plus they say Windows Server 2003 is more stable than linux distros, and other reliable sources say it's more secure too.

So does that count for IIS, as apache wont perform as well or have all of the security features on windows as it would on *nix systems.

So what do you all think?

P.S. What webserver does this site use, out of sheer curiosity :)
