How to root Android - Root Samsung devices with CF auto root

Samsung is one of the best Android mobile phone and tablets manufacturer which maintaining a front line position in the mobile industry. They manufacturing more than hundreds of Android devices models. But this it is common that after a long period of using you ended up with a method to make it work just like it worked when the time you bought it. So the solution is Android rooting. Because a lot of people focusing on this method Samsung itself introduce a firmware tool specially designed for the Android and we all know the tool as Odin. So today we are gonna root your Samsung smartphone or the tablet using Samsung Odin and CF auto root.

 

What is CF auto Root?

 

It is an amazing rooting tool invented by Chainfire, the senior developer of the XDA developers community. This rooting tool using the Samsung Odin when it comes to rooting a Samsung device. But it follows a different method when it root devices in of other brands. The only thing you have to concern is the compatible list of the devices. If you found your device model in this list you are good to go. Let's see how to do it.

  • Laptop or desktop
  • USB cable
  • Battery should be fully charged
  • Backup the necessary data
  • Download Samsung USB drivers and install them.

 

How to Root Android

 

  1. Find the model number by following this path, Settings --> About phone --> Model number.  
  2. Check the compatible list and find the correct toolkit for your device.
  3. Download it to your PC.
  4. Enable USB debugging by following this path, Settings --> About Device --> Software Info --> Build Number --> tap 7 times --> "You are now a developer" -->  Go back to Settings --> Developer Options --> USB debugging --> Enable 
  5. Now download Samsung Odin. This is the Odin Website.
  6. Extract it into a new folder. 
  7. Turn off the mobile phone and boot it into the download mode.
  8. In order to do this press and hold volume down, Power button and home button.
  9. When it is on download mode press volume up button to continue.
  10. Run Odin on your computer.
  11. Connect the smartphone and the tablet with it using a USB cable.
  12. If the device is detected by the Odin it will display a highlighted blue box in the program.
  13. Now browse to the extracted folder and find the .tar.md5 file 
  14. Click the  AP button  and browse to  CF-Auto-Root.tar.md5
  15. Auto reboot and F.Time reset should be checked and all the remaining should be unchecked.
  16. Then click the start button.
  17. Now its time to wait. 
  18. After a few minutes, the Android rooting will be finished.
  19. Finally, reboot it once and you will get a rooted Android smartphone or the tablet.


Wrap up

CF auto root using ODIN to root your Samsung device. All you have to do is follow a few steps because it is so easy. But it is unavoidable the fact that android rooting will void the device warranty. So if you have a brand new smartphone or a tablet with a valid warrenty you may consider if this is really necessary to do.
