Karlston
File Explorer and Microsoft Forms get updated with new icons As a part of implementing fluent design across the Operating System, Microsoft has been updating icons of all the first-party apps and services. Around four months back, Microsoft released the new Office Icons for Windows Insiders and it was followed by a public rollout. Now Microsoft is planning to add new icons to two more first-party services. First spotted by Aggiornamenti Lumia, the Windows 10 File Explorer will also be getting new icon soon. Not only that, but Microsoft has also updated the Microsoft Forms icon silently. While we couldn’t spot the new File Explorer icon, the new Forms icon shows up on OneNote. Unfortunately, the updated Forms icon is currently added to just the OneNote app. We expect Microsoft to update the icons soon for everyone. Microsoft will roll out 19H2 update to Windows 10 users soon and while it will be a minor update, we might see new icons for most of the first-party apps and services. BimBamSmash
That screenshot above shows new icons for Mail, Calendar, Photos, Calculator, (and I assume "News", though I haven't used that app before to know the difference) too. At least they look different from what I have at my end.
