Karlston
Windows 10 for ARM on the Lumia 950 makes significant progress The project to get Windows 10 for ARM onto old Windows 10 Mobile phones has made more progress, with another set of capabilities about to come to handsets running the desktop OS. Gustave Monce, one of the leaders of the WoA project has managed to add more items to the list of Senors that works well in old Lumia Windows Phones, which are running the Windows 10 desktop OS. The list of sensors that now works include: Compass Gyrometer Inclinometer LightSensor Orientation (Absolute) Altimeter Barometer Magnetometer ProximitySensor SimpleOrientationSensor Accelerometer (Standard) With this, the project has almost came to an end. The team just need to add a few sensors to the list, need more work on cameras, USB C and that will be a complete wrap of the project, says Gustave. The team will roll out an update, which will make the aforementioned sensor working, to users in coming days, but we don’t exactly know when the update will be rolled out. “Not too sure when we will release this yet, maybe in the middle of the month, maybe next month, I don’t want to make too many releases since we have no real update way,” wrote Gustave on Twitter.
