Matrix
Bottom line: With a strong content library, an attractive price and a bundle that looks even better, Disney+ certainly stands to shake up the streaming video landscape. Disney will be hosting its fan expo in Anaheim later this week at which time we’ll likely hear more about the streaming platform’s plans. Disney’s long-rumored streaming service will finally open its doors on November 12. When it does, it’ll be available on a variety of platforms although curiously enough, one major name is missing from the list. Disney+ will initially be available on Apple TV, iPad, iPhone, Android TV, Android mobile devices, Chromecast, desktop web browsers, PlayStation 4, Roku streaming players, Roku TV and Xbox One. Curiously enough, Amazon’s Fire TV and tablets aren't part of the pack – not yet, anyway. The service is set to launch in the US, Canada and the Netherlands on November 12 priced at $6.99 per month (or $69.99 annually), $8.99 CAD per month (or $89.99 CAD annually) and €6.99 per month (or €69.99 per year), respectively. A week later, on November 19, the service will be available in Australia and New Zealand for $8.99 AUD per month (or $89.99 AUD per year) and $9.99 NZD per month (or $99.99 NZD per year), respectively. Earlier this month, if your recall, Disney revealed that it’ll also offer a bundle that includes Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu for $12.99 per month. That’s an excellent value and the same price as Netflix’s standard package (with HD). VIEW: Original Article.
halvgris
all these different streaming services none of them complete. to enjoy everything you pretty much need to pirate it. unless you're a king or queen. just a few random services to prove my point. hbo hulu netflix ufc fight pass amazon prime disney+ these services doesn't mention the geblocked content. as for myself i said to my friends back in 2010 that companies should let youtube be the platform. failed maybe 3 times for me over the years while other streaming channels have poor apps and may lag. note i know apple tv tries to make things happen but you need all different services. youtube sells optional movies and series but as always not complete. does anyone know if disney is going to remove rights from the other channels?. They done it to take back was theirs to begin with from Netflix they got tired of seeing them making all the money . Piracy don't have nothing to do with it the MPAA have been fighting against piracy since 1968. Netflix was taking the video industry profits and people keep cutting the cord. the Golden Age of streaming is over they are fighting fire with fire. It was short lived too but the video industry has always had to compete with piracy . Pirate streaming sites with DViX player plugin , VLC Plugin and flash, now google is on board with HTML5 baked in .So was a thing way before Legal streaming sites was they just copied the pirates and made it legal . But on Phones and Linux we use apps to stream more to get a better experience than a browser can give us. While Windows have streaming apps its not as big on there platform . One reason was back when flash was big Steve Jobs said no flash in the smartphones unlike Windows .So apps became a big thing and on Linux they had issues with getting Flash ported up tell it became almost dead HTML5 is good but still the major browsers have no hardware acceleration on Linux unless you use a patched one .So steaming apps that have baked in hardware acceleration work much better for HD streaming than browsers. To go back even further back years ago say if all you had was basic cable you would wait tell HBO ,TMC ,Showtime and Cinemax gave you a free preview and you would record 3 days of movies and we would hook up 2 VCRs and rent movies and make copies ,also rental stores had used movies they sold very cheap . then i got the internet all we had back then was dial up . Old PCs like dell only had a DVD player so i bought me a DVD burner and installed it under the DVD player and i bought me one click DVD software and software to remove DRM from DVD was free back then. I ordered big Rolls of DVDs online that had printable labels and i had a printer that print DVD labels on DVDs back then and i rented movies on the weekdays like 2 days a week you could rent like 8 movies for $8 for 3 days and i would make like 8 movie DVDs a week. So piracy was here long before any of these streaming services and it will be around long after they fall even if it's just street piracy I don't need a excuse to pirate i would never pay for a streaming service no matter what the price because my internet sucks and using satellite TV is a better paid option even if it's more expensive and that why we only pay for Dish Network at my home I don't even use it ..but everyone else at my home do . I just download what ever i want to watch from pirate sites and watch on demand when i''m in the mood , i like doing it i have no excuse i could watch satellite TV if i wanted, it's just having or making copies of videos and music is just something i always done since the 1980s .
