<img src="http://nsanedown.com/images/logos/cFosSpeed.png" class="logo" alt="cFosSpeed" title="cFosSpeed" />cFosSpeed is a network driver, which attaches itself to existing Internet connections. It then optimizes data transfer by means of Traffic Shaping. Traffic Shaping is a method for optimizing the Internet traffic. It allows maximum speed while ensuring minimal Ping. You can use cFosSpeed with a router and/or a DSL-modem or cable-modem. You can also use cFosSpeed with other types of Internet access, ie. whenever you already have an existing Internet connection. cFosSpeed supports a wide variety of connections, like DSL, cable, ISDN, UMTS, etc.

@Dragula:

This has already been resolved: Link

Bizarre, I have the previous version of this installed using a blacklisted key, do you think it would mess it up if ever I update to this one? Cfosspeed is working great for me, I don't want to mess things up.

@nivrid05:

Just edit your hosts file again, and run XAMPP.

This method looks great and appears to work for others, but, not me. I'm getting "Key activation failed: error 14000".

I've got WWW File Share Pro webserver setup on port 80 & appears functional when testing the 2 cfos blocked sites in "hosts" in a browser (takes me to the root folder of the web server), the text file is in place, edited as illustrated and visible. Any idea(s) what this error is trying to say?

I followed the instructions and this is how I was able to do it: (tested on the latest ver. 5.00.1560 and not this BETA version)

1. Install cfosspeed

2. go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc and open hostfile then add 127.0.0.1 www.cfos.de and 127.0.0.1 cfos.de, they should look exactly as in the image (ref to the images on the tutorial)

3. Install XAMPP (ref to the images on the tutorial)

4. start Apache from XAMPP

5. go to c:\xampp\htdocs and create blacklist.txt which should contain exactly this word: [banned]

6. activate cfosspeed using the blacklisted key

Hope this helps man .... goodluck!

@ bizzare

Thanks man but I think I'll pass on this BETA version will just wait for the final ver to be released.

You know the latest beta won't work with that serial right?

It's blacklisted in the actual application.

You need to use v5.00.

Damn! I did not know that, and I'd thought I'd read everything on this topic.... FIXED - worked like a charm.

Thanks a bunch!
