<img src="http://nsanedown.com/images/logos/cFosSpeed.png" class="logo" alt="cFosSpeed" title="cFosSpeed" />cFosSpeed is a network driver, which attaches itself to existing Internet connections. It then optimizes data transfer by means of Traffic Shaping. Traffic Shaping is a method for optimizing the Internet traffic. It allows maximum speed while ensuring minimal Ping. You can use cFosSpeed with a router and/or a DSL-modem or cable-modem. You can also use cFosSpeed with other types of Internet access, ie. whenever you already have an existing Internet connection. cFosSpeed supports a wide variety of connections, like DSL, cable, ISDN, UMTS, etc.

I second that one..so glad to FINALLY upgrade from 4.50.. nice UI change too.. BTW.. this works with any server running on port 80...for anyone wonder.. XXAMP wasn't really necessary for mine.. I ran a basic HTTP server that I already had on port 80.. and dropped in the file.. worked perfect..

OK. I was not soo happy when I tired the v4.5. But this is really really good. If anyone remembers, once I mentioned that I was not able to surf the net when my uTorrent was open, note: not downloadin or uploadin, just open, and hence I was not able to seed, now after usin this version 5.00, it's never been soo great before.

ANW, I'll be very happy if someone makes a guide/walkthrough for this software. :)

I have enough experience with it to do it but it may take awhile as to all the stuff I have going on..really pretty easy.. mainly clearing out the stuff that s there that you don't use.. learning the protocols and what they effect and how that will relate to the version of shaping your going for.. then adding your programs and what priority you would like them to be with in your individual needs.. use the Firewall..Layer 7 detection, MTU optimisation.. but this is per individual, and Strict RTP checks.. some of these re already in most of the system tweakers but you can utilize them here as well.... Really simple.. depending on how you look at it.. and depending on the needs of your system and network..

EDIT: Looks like I am going to have to redo mine.. as well.. after the new install.. just getting in to the update now..

How I can set priority for Firefox?

Well your Protocols will ultimately determine rather FF running to HTTP request will have priority or not.. and you can add, under PROGRAMS, MISC or OTHER.. the .EXE for FF and put in its priority.. but keep in mind this is going to take a chunk out of your speed of anything else..

The best advise is start with things that are least important.. that are in all the lists.. then your most important applications and protocols should be set just above that..For instance having your uT traffic set at Low.. and your FF traffic or communication set to Higher.. is going make the browser take all of the priority.. for instance instead of taking the 100kb it needs to load a page normally.. its also going to make room for the 50kb that it needs to run ultimately fast..and kill EVERYTHING else.. so this means streaming media.. UDP Protocol .. any other programs on the same protocols.. all suddenly loose stable connection.. so start with least important at the bottom.. and work a notch up at a time..and delete anything you do not need..this will make it easier.. You should also make sure to save before you move to the next window..this will scale if you do it properly to utilize your full bandwidth.. so cranking it up too high just causes an issue..

Hope you follow what I mean..if not.. ask..:P

EDIT: a good visualization tool is to picture a network in your home.. Your system your mom's and dad's brother's and sister's systems all on the same one.. using the same bandwidth.. Your brother start cranking up BitTorrent Traffic.. and using all the bandwidth while he's at school.. Your mom is going to not have any bandwidth to pay her bills online.. and no connection.. there are several different ways to approach the problem...

Well I did follow it properly.

I will leave it as it is now(default).

This is one of those things you do when you have some time on your hands.. to stay focused and keep it all straight...and I would only add applications you really need or want to apply traffic shaping for.. Really love this program though.. helps me watch streaming video/music, surf the net, and download with uT all at the same time with no dropouts or glitches..

Great idea and great guide, thank you.

Just a little suggestion it's a lot quicker to use the 600KB HFS than the 45MB XAMPP:

http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/

Jack - just use the method posted on the last page with the official v5.00 release and the serial key listed.

The latest beta will not work with the key listed as the blacklisting is hard coded.
