Windows 10 20H1 build 18895 rolls out to Insiders on the Fast ring

Check out what's new!

A new Windows 10 Fast ring build is now rolling out to Windows Insiders, bringing the version number up to 18895. This latest release makes it so Your Phone works again. However, there are a number of issues you should be aware of, including anti-cheat software causing your PC to crash.

Of course, there are a number of bug fixes to check out as well. Here's a look at what's new and some of the major issues that remain.

What's new

  • The Your Phone app now works again! Fixed the issue from Build 18894 causing Your Phone to not work.

Known issues

  • There has been an issue with older versions of anti-cheat software used with games where after updating to the latest 19H1 Insider Preview builds may cause crashes. To minimize the chance of running into this issue, please make sure you are running the latest version of your games before attempting to update the operating system.
  • Some Realtek SD card readers are not functioning properly.
  • There's noticeable lag when dragging the emoji and dictation panels.
  • Tamper Protection may be turned off in Windows Security after updating to this build. However, you can turn it back on.

As always, you can check out the full release notes, including a look at the known issues, at the Windows Blog. Otherwise, Fast ring Insiders should be able to update to build 18855 through Windows Update now.
