I generally need to defragment many external HDDs parallel to my system (sometimes in terabytes of data.) Those who seek an industrial strength defragmenting solution may like to check out the overwhelming performance of Diskeeper EnterpriseServer 2010. The latest version (14.0 Build 909.0) can be downloaded from the Diskeeper homepage.

Well the solution for the Pro Premier works for the EnterpriseServer as well - you may use this tutorial. ;)

Planning to move from UD. What are the recommendations. DK or PD?

My time with UD was good. Customization, do what you want. But I was waiting for a time to move on...

UD is the best period ALL OTHERS FAIL-

According to Cnet users, majority of the people in the previous version voted negative. I'm not so sure and Diskeeper interface is too difficult for me to understand. I like Auslogics Disk Defrag

Make no mistake. UD is quite good in manual disk customization. But needs real effort and guide to understand it.

About Auslogics, I've used it for 2 years. And to be honest, Windows 7's defrag can beat it.

If you are the lazy sort, go for Dk....if not PD...both are equally good.

For me:

Installed Dk on my two desktop as its use often by my kids, the auto defrag is excellent.

Installed PD on my laptop, for my own use only...I do manual defrag once in a while.

I would like some help with the configuration. First time I want to manual defrag and from then on just auto defrag.

Excellent  :)

I'll do it DKT27 & Brrownie - both Diskeeper and PerfectDisk (as well) are not that straightforward to configure. Shall compile one later in the day. :)
