It contains everything you need to play all common audio and video file formats. It also provides additional functionality such a thumbnail generation in Explorer. Advantageous for first time installers .. who have to find older full installers + latest cumulative updater... esp if the installer size gets bigger than the sum of the two. Also it is best to wait a few hour before download gets distributed to the various mirrors..
