Microsoft is in the process of giving a final touch to the upcoming major release of Windows 10, now named Windows 10 May 2019 Update which is also popularly known as the Build 1903 among Windows Insiders.

Before the release of a Windows 10 system update, a part of Microsoft’s job is to inform users about the system requirements necessary for it. And as expected, the company has come up with a fresh set of hardware requirements( which by the way isn’t any different from the last update), anything that isn’t listed will not be able to run the Windows 10 May 2019 Update.

The list of processors supporting the latest update contains Intel Xeon E-21xx, Atom J4xxx/J5xxx, Atom N4xxx/N5xxx, Celeron, Pentium, AMD 7th-gen processors (A-Series Ax-9xxx & E-Series Ex-9xxx & FX-9xxx), Athlon 2xx, Ryzen 3/5/7 2xxx, Opteron, EPYC 7xxx, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 850.

The two important names missing from the list are the Snapdragon 8cx and the AMD’s Ryzen 300, and while the reason behind not listing the SD 8cx is understandable given the fact that the processor is going to launch at the end of this year, the absence of the latter casts serious doubts on the accuracy with which the list was prepared.

Microsoft is yet to list any requirements for the Windows 10 IoT Core version 1903 while the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise SAC 1903 requirements are indifferent from that of the full Windows.
