The AchieVer
LibreOffice 6.2 Office Suite Gets First Point Release with More Than 150 Fixes The Document Foundation announced today the general availability of the first point release of its latest LibreOffice 6.2 open-source and free office suite series for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows platforms. The LibreOffice 6.2 office suite was released in early February with a lot of new features and improvements, including an optional NotebookBar UI and many enhancements for the Writer, Calc, Draw, Impress, Base, Math, and LibreOffice Online. Today, the first point release, LibreOffice6.2.1, is here to address no less than 150 bugs and issues reported since the LibreOffice 6.2 release. "LibreOffice 6.2.1 represents the bleeding edge in term of features for open source office suites, and as such is not optimized for enterprise class deployments, where features are less important than robustness. Users wanting a more mature version can download LibreOffice 6.1.5, which includes some months of back-ported fixes," said Italo Vignoli, Co Founder, Marketing & PR, The Document Foundation.Download LibreOffice 6.2.1 for Linux, Mac, and WindowsUsers already using the LibreOffice 6.2 office suite series are recommended to update their installations to the LibreOffice 6.2.1 point release as soon as possible for a much-improved office experience. You can download LibreOffice 6.2.1 for GNU/Linux, Mac, and Windowsright now from our free software portal or directly from the official website. However, if you haven't upgraded yet to LibreOffice 6.2, The Document Foundation recommends you stick with the LibreOffice 6.1 series as it has been recently readied for enterprise deployments as the most stable and well-tested version of the open-source office suite. LibreOffice 6.2 is recommended to bleeding-edge and power users looking for new features more than stability and reliability. Source
