Well I'm still on XP and I use LogonStudio by Stardock. I really wish if they make it for Windows 7.

@DKT27

I think this should help. And I will test it. If you know how to use it deeply, feel free to let me know if you want to write a tut for AllOSTech , Thanks.

What I didn't know that LogonStudio now also supports 7. I must have missed that.

After adding a second user, the welcome page reverse to its original MS image.

So I tried to launch the app again,  Alas I got this :angry:

I am under Windows7 Ultimate

@SIRavecavec,

Thank you, if there is a solution I will be glad to get it.

PS: The user I added was the "Administrator", which is disabled by default in Windows 7.

I tried to lunch the application also in the Administrator account or desk and I get the same error.

It does not recognize that the OS is in fact Windows 7.

Did you try Stardock for Vista.. works for 7 too.. see if you get the same error.. maybe it is a settings or art of a LUA/SRP rule that is causing the issue..

Hi heath28m,

Where I can get that "Stardock for Vista"

For fun I am debugging (reverse engineering) "Windows_7_Logon_screen_editor_by_bcubing". It is written in IL (Intermediate Language)

of .Net Frameworks (from Microsoft). I have the tools to strip it in pieces. :P

I will also follow your advice to see if there is problems related to  LUA/SRP.

Thanks my friend for the link. I read in their web page that now LogonStudio is Windows 7 compatible. :)
