The AchieVer
The 2019 iPhones Won’t Be a Single Cent Cheaper than the Current Models You’d think companies learn from their own mistakes and adapt on the go in order to improve their business, but this doesn’t seem to be the case of Apple. According to a new report, the upcoming 2019 iPhone lineup will have the same prices as the current models, which have often been criticized for being too expensive. In fact, the high prices of the existing iPhones have been considered one of the main reasons sales remained low, as the top-of-the-range XS Max can be purchased in the US for no less than $1,449. However, Apple doesn’t think this is a problem, so the new iPhones due in September will cost the same as their predecessors. In other words, the updated XR will begin at $749, while the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max successors will start at $999 and $1,049, respectively. The top model will still cost $1,449. A report from DroidShout indicates that Apple is also planning to introduce a new green version for the iPhone XR, but at the same time, it looks like the Cupertino-based tech giant wants to give up on at least one color version currently in the lineup.Last generation with LCD modelGiven the high prices would be maintained, it will certainly be interesting to see if Apple manages to recover in terms of sales, especially given that the performance of the current models is significantly below expectations. Apple probably plans to offer more value for the money, as new tech would be offered, including a triple-camera system on the XS Max successor. This is likely how Apple plans to explain the pricing, as the company would put the focus on the major upgrades it would bring to the iPhone lineup without any increase in price. The new iPhones will be unveiled in September and Apple will roll out upgrades to all three models that are currently available to buyers. The 2019 lineup is also expected to be the last generation with an LCD model. Source

m4ng0
The price issue and the lack of innovation will not end up good for the company... and they truly say: "if Apple follows a similar pattern for 2019, it would announce the 2019 iPhones on Sept. 10, which is a Tuesday. The handsets would likely go on preorder Sept. 13 and go on sale Sept. 20." .... But, it's a long time between now and September.
