The AchieVer
Microsoft Launches 2018 Surface Models in 20 More Countries Microsoft has just announced that the 2018 Surface lineup goes on sale in 20 more countries across the world, while the Surface Headphones also becomes available in 8 new markets beginning in March. The Redmond-based software giant launched three different Surface upgrades in late 2018, namely the Surface Pro 6, the Surface Laptop 2, and the Surface Studio 2. All three were originally available in limited markets, while in January the company brought them to China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. Beginning today, these models are available in even more countries, though Microsoft did not share in the official announcement what are the new markets getting the 2018 Surface lineup. However, I believe most of them are in Europe, so if you’re living on the Old Continent, there’s a chance you can now buy a new Surface too.Surface Headphones going on sale in more countriesFurthermore, Microsoft revealed that the Surface Headphones would go on sale in eight new markets in March. This time, the country did announce the regions getting the product, and they are Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland. Needless to say, pricing will vary by market depending on a series of factors, including taxes, so you’ll have to check with your local retailer to see how much a new Surface device costs. As a side note, the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Laptop 2 are likely to be the devices most people are interested in buying, especially thanks to the new black version that arrives with the second generation. “The addition of the new matte black finish for Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 brings a sophisticated elegance to the Surface line-up. Every Surface brings to life innovations across hardware, Windows, Office and AI to empower people all around the globe to do more, achieve more and dream more,” Microsoft says in a typical press releasey statement. Other than that, there are no visual changes, and most of the upgrades concern the hardware specs. Source
