Xbox Live DOWN: Xbox One server status latest as Sign In problems strike

              

Xbox Live is down on Xbox One 

XBOX LIVE is down for many gamers tonight trying to use multiplayer features on their Xbox One. Here’s the latest on the current server status and Sign in issues.

 

Xbox Live users are reporting that Microsoft servers are down tonight while some have seen their Xbox Ones become unusable due to a new black screen problem.

 

Xbox One owners trying to sign in and play multiplayer titles are reporting issues, including problem getting access to their digital libraries.

 

Others include receiving an error message when trying to sign in, which reads: “Unable to sign into your account for Xbox Live.”

 

There are also reports of a "0x8b050033" error screen, confirming that they are unable to use core Xbox console services.

 

It has also been confirmed that some Xbox One consoles received black screens showing no options, making them unusable.

The good news is that it doesn’t appear to be a widespread outage, meaning it could get fixed very soon.

 

If it does continue, we expect to see an update from Microsoft on their official Xbox Live support site.

 

Until then, players may find it difficult to login when their Xbox One console is connected to the internet.

 

UPDATE: Microsoft has now confirmed that there are issues with signing into Xbox One consoles that are affecting a lot of gamers tonight.

 

"Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience," the tech giant confirms in a new update.

UPDATE TWO: According to Xbox Insider Program head, Brad Rosetti, today's outage and black screen problems were affected by a service update issue, which has now been rolled back.

 

“Xbox One Users - we have identified the service causing the black screens and working on rolling back the service change - please be patient.”

 

“Xbox One Users - Service changed rolled back - please reboot to confirm the issue is fixed."
