Windows 10 update - Big changes are coming from Microsoft and here's everything new

               Windows 10 update

WINDOWS 10 is being updated again and here are the biggest new changes coming from Microsoft.

Windows 10 is Microsoft's computer operating system that typically receives substantial upgrades twice a year.

Last year such improvements arrived in April and October - it is assumed the American tech giant will follow a similar release schedule in 2019, too.

That means the next overhaul for Windows 10 could arrive in mere months.

Ahead of the software's debut, Microsoft has already started releasing Insider preview builds for Windows 10 version 19H1, the expected April 2019 update.

The Windows Insider Programme is a scheme fans can sign up to that grants early versions of the software for them to test.

However, such builds usually contains more bugs and issues than final release variants.

The Insider builds of Windows 10 are incredibly useful for garnering an early indiction as to what features are set to arrive in the next substantial update for the software.

The latest version, 18323, has just been released and brings a number of notable improvements for fans.

Microsoft has improved the software's light theme based on user feedback.

The settings icon in the taskbar is now a dark grey colour when the aesthetic has been switched on, rather than its previous black tone.

Moreover, the American tech firm has also fixed several issues related to the operating system's scrollbar and autoplay icon in addition to general bug fixes.

More importantly, Microsoft has now improved raw image format support for Windows 10.

This means files from cameras will now be natively supported by the software.

Explaining the addition, Microsoft said: "Do you like taking pictures in Raw image formats and wish that the Raw files from your camera were natively supported by Windows?

                   Windows 10 update

"Good news! Targeting 19H1, we’ve been working hard to release a new store-delivered Raw codec package that dramatically improves native raw file format support in Windows.

"By downloading the new Raw Image Extension (Beta) package from the store, you can now view image thumbnails, previews, and camera metadata of previously unsupported raw files right in File Explorer.

"You can also view your raw images – at full resolution – in apps such as Photos or any other Windows app that uses Windows Imaging Component framework to decode raw images."

The change to raw image files will surely be embraced by photography enthusiasts that are now able to view images at full resolution.

It is also worth noting the newest Insider preview build also introduces a swathe of bug fixes that have each been listed by Microsoft on its Windows blog.

Indeed, I used a dark mode add-on in Firefox to read it.

I appreciate that you read the posts. However, some members have issues while reading in dark mode, then there are other members who are quite comfortable reading like this.

Fine, as long as some can read it then it's no problem. I just thought you may have liked to know.

Dark mode, but today searching for add-ons I saw recommendations about dark reader and midnight lizard. So I will test them before discarding two of them.

Does it have to be one way or another? I mean other posts are pretty readable in both themes.

Here is a screenshot of what I see in this post with the dark theme.

AFAIK, it's just a matter of colouring the basic text black by default, the dark theme will then convert it to white automatically. It's just these random grey tints that cause such issues.

And so the Microsoft development principle thats won hem  so many fans over the last decade continues

1) Play around with the gui trying to make it look pretty, above all else thats more important, you know like core stability

2) Introduce "features" that the average person doesnt care about

And they wonder why theyre hated these days....

@The AchieVer I would like to recommend if you remove the text formatting after you copying any text and past it here in order it fits all the themes we are using.  Simply select all the text in your post, and press on this button that available in the editor.

If you left click and move the cursor as if to copy and paste the background turns blue and the text white so it's easy to read then
