box, mara- fix

hope mara and box can fix eset update problem

keep asking for username and password

even after fix,unfix and put "eset" as user n pass, still got the problem

+ 3 times install n uninstall procedure using eset uninstaller

not from add n remove utilities

now i'm using NodEnabler

btw, i'm using XP SP3

what i mean, i fix it, try update, got problem, enter eset as name and pass, still got problem

unfix n fix it again, problem remain, enter eset as name and pass, still got problem

6 times doing it all over again with no luck

dunno if i did something wrong but this is the first time eset install in my pc

btw,i'm using eset uninstaller which is recommend

Delete that ESET keys above. ESET ONLY!

Now install it again. While installing, when asked for username and pass, don't enter anything, just tick add credentials later. Fix it and see.

already search for it but not found the registry keys

tnx for the box, mara fix it really works man...

i'm useing it for almost two years and it works like a charm :)

i just have one suggestion.

i notice that in this newer version (box, mara 1.3) there is no automatically adding of exclution for file 'C:/Windows/reset.exe'

like it was in older versions of mara-fix 1.5 - so i have to add the exclution by myself.

you should add that function in the fix to be automatically ;)

i don't know did you forgot that function or it's left-out for a reason ?!

It's probably left over from 1.5.

The Eset has blocked the box mara fix?

After saturday i could n t update more my eset, i have the 5035 database, when i try to update the eset says ( you have the latest database ) but it´s false.

I have the version 4.2.40.10 pt-br

Tested on 2 or more pc´s

Server issues, ESET didn't 'block the box, mara-fix', such a thing is practically impossible.

I can install 1 license from update one time and delete license and apply the fix again ?

Because i uninstall my eset and i install again, and it have the original database from the 4.2.40...

Not sure what you're asking but what you can do is this:

UnFix ESET (by running the fix again), insert a license, update, Fix ESET, reboot. I'm not sure whether this works, when typing it out now I actually think it won't work, but you can try...

I think its a little over complicating it. See. fresh install ( or wipe your system of ESET and files and clean the registry ) .. no Username or pass.. fix.. then update.. try a few times.. and what you get at this point is what you get ( because of the server issues and company not taking care of the people who are evaluating their software.. ) OR install put in your trial license, at 12 days in your ESET will go orange saying your about to go out off date.. at which point you can et a new license from a new address..

This is what I have seen.. people mention and do that usually works.. now one of any of the combinations of resetting the trial install date can be used in conjunction with.. or run without a license as trial..

Since 17 Apr 2010 Eset is not updating database But before that fix was working very fine

Believe me eset has done something.

may be block the updates when u apply mara fix

You do not need a username or password with the box, mara- fix 1.3.

Without username and password, it's a trial version. And box, mara- fix will keep it 30 days trial forever.
