nir
Windows 10 version 1809 likely pushed to more devices Microsoft has just re-released Windows update KB4023057 for all Windows 10 versions, as the company prepares systems for the upgrade to the October 2018 Update. KB4023057 is a patch aimed at improving update reliability and it makes a series of changes on devices where it’s installed, like freeing up space, resetting Windows Update database, and repair disabled or corrupted Windows components. All of these are supposed to help ensure a smooth upgrade to Windows 10 version 1809, especially on older computers where the installation of the new update isn’t possible due to various issues. “This update includes reliability improvements to Windows Update Service components in Windows 10, versions 1507, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, and 1803. It may also take steps to free up disk space on your device if you do not have enough disk space to install Windows updates,” Microsoft explains. “This update includes files and resources that address issues that affect the update processes in Windows 10 that may prevent important Windows updates from being installed. These improvements help make sure that updates are installed seamlessly on your device, and they help improve the reliability and security of devices that are running Windows 10.” The Windows 10 version 1809 push This isn’t the first time when KB4023057 is pushed to users, and we spotted it several times before. Most likely, Microsoft is getting ready to ship Windows 10 version 1809 to a new batch of computers, and this update is supposed to help the company provide a smooth upgrade process. Version 1809 was originally released in early October but was pulled only a few days later after the company discovered a critical bug leading to the removal of user files stored in libraries. Version 1809 was re-released in November and is now being shipped to devices as part of a gradual rollout as Microsoft manages to resolve known bugs.
