jaideejung007
Mobile phone operator Softbank has apologized for a major disruption that knocked out its mobile network service for about 4 hours. The Japanese firm says the problem started at 1:39 PM, local time. The issue also affected Softbank Group company Y! Mobile, as well as some other telecom companies that use Softbank's networks, including Line Mobile, b-mobile, mineo, nuro mobile and H.I.S. Mobile. Softbank engineers are still investigating the cause. The firm says its mobile network service started to come back online after 6 PM Japan time, but warned that users might still encounter some issues with data transmission. Earlier in the afternoon, the Tokyo Fire Department posted a message on Twitter urging people to use landline phones or other mobile networks.
