Toshiro Posted October 17, 2009 Share Posted October 17, 2009 Acer has issued a voluntary recall for five different models of its Acer Aspire Timeline notebooks.According to the Taiwanese manufacturer, affected systems feature a microphone cable that "may overheat when extreme pressure" is applied repeatedly to the left palm rest".Acer states that affected models were manufactured prior to September 15th 2009 and include model numbers AS3410, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG.If that sounds like you, Acer recommends you head over to a dedicated website on which you can enter your notebook serial number to determine whether or not your system needs to be serviced.The number of faulty systems has not been disclosed.Source: Hexus Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
