Hi @-=[4lfre1re]=-, can you please clarify what you mean by putting the file the same folder as the installer. When I downloaded the files for the online installer, there's no settings.reg. Do I just make a file called settings.reg ? and if so, do I need to write anything in the reg file?

Hi... you have to make a settings.reg file and put it in the same folder than IDM.v6.32.1.Setup.exe installer... settings.reg must contain your own IDM registry preferences...

Settings.reg example:

@Michael* Did you follow the steps described here: http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/register/new_faq/bi9.html ? (I am sure you did, but must ask).

Yes, I have clean installed everything. I have no warnings or activation issues, just can't detect videos for some reason. For youtube, I am now using a greasemonkey script that provides direct download links to the videos. When I click on the link, I can download with IDM no problem. It just doesn't detect the streaming videos like it used to, idk?

So, that means older version worked OK in that same browser..right?

Please mention the installer you used - official or some other.

Try another browser (Firefox).

Yes, a previous version was working, but I have upgraded so many times I have no idea which one clean installed without issue. I did try going back to idman630build10f.exe as suggested, but it didn't fix the issue. Not that it matters, but I am using the lastest Insider Preview and Google Chrome Beta.

I read in some forum that it might be a chrome issue with the fix to install an older version of chrome to get it working, then upgrade your chrome and it will continue working. Might be why IDM did not upgrade their IDM browser integration (IDMIEHlprObj Class), might be having a problem with the newer Chrome. Never affected me until I clean installed everything, including Chrome.

This is the feature I am missing ...

Well, I finally fixed this annoying problem. I had to get hold of a standalone copy of Google Chrome 69.0.3497.92 [below v70] and installed it without connecting to the internet. I cleaned out everything related to Chrome, all the old folders, etc. I then installed Internet Download Manager 6.32 Build 1 Pre-Activated by m4rdhi BRAVO and went to youtube to find the video downloader finally working properly, so I allowed Chrome to update to the latest build and also updated the extensions.  It's still working and this problem has finally been solved. I hope this helps someone ...

I actually like using 4K Video Downloader while I browse youtube, but it's very limited in the sites it supports.

I just use it for youtube.

What you need is JDownloader2 With accounts added to the accounts section, There are even premium account database providing websites which can be used to add multiple accounts into the same. I'm using my free mega account to download shows and movies from site which hosts them in mega and other hosts, and it does the job very well. JD2 is very good for downloading from multiple file hosts.

At the first, sorry @Screen for my late reply. I'm absent sometimes for a long or little time because I'm busy (by the work, health, etc IRL).

As today JDownloader2 is safe ? From my point of view, the answer is probably no. Because according to my memories, this software require the JRE (aka Java Runtime Environment). Otherwise it doesn't work, right ?

That's a real big trouble for me because I don't want to be worry about the security. In fact, I had stop to use the Adobe Flash Player a very long time ago. Basically, it's useless and we know it could be a potential risk ("zero-day vulnerability" for any PC).

That's why I'm wonder if there is another release (one example : JDownloader3 without JRE) ?

There is a Jdownloader2 alternative which does not use java.
