Voted by users.Gordon Freeman has successfully defeated Mario as the GameSpot's All-Time Greatest Game Hero. Every Gamespot member would have voted for their favorite game hero. I voted for Gordon :D. The voting, that lasted for about 45 days, allowed users to vote from 64 of their favorite Greatest Game Hero. From Bomberman to Duke Nukem, from Gordon Freeman to Guybrush Threepwood, from Lara Croft to Link, from Manny Calavera to Mario, from Master Chief to Mega Man, from Pac-Man to Ryu, from Samus Aran to The Prince and more. Round by round Game Heroes were voted out and it all came to the final stage. Gordon Freeman vs Mario. The final voting lasted from Oct. 8 to 15. Freeman won by 55.8% in opposite to Mario's 44.2%.
