nir
Microsoft evolving the phone-PC relationship Microsoft’s next Windows 10 feature update could bring phones and PCs even closer together with a feature that would allow users to answer calls right from their desktops. The software giant is already offering an app called Your Phone in order to allow users to access messages and photos stored on their phones from a Windows 10 PC. But with the upcoming Windows 10 update, currently codenamed Windows 10 19H1 and already available in preview stage, Microsoft is pushing this implementation a step further by adding new capabilities. AL has discovered references to a substantial update that would include options to transfer calls from the mobile phone to the PC using a Bluetooth connectivity. Furthermore, calls could be handled entirely from a computer, with the sound to be routed to PC speakers, technically making it possible to answer a call and talk to the person on the other line without even touching the phone. Preview possibly coming soon Features like these are already available for Windows 10 users thanks to Dell’s Mobile Connect app, but nevertheless, a native solution would certainly appeal to more users, especially as adoption of this operating system version increases. Most likely, the new features would land in Insider preview builds in the coming months and there’s a good chance they would be limited to Android devices for a while. Microsoft is still struggling to get around Apple’s walled garden, as the amount of restrictions implemented on iPhones makes it harder, if not impossible, for some features to become available on iOS devices. For now, Your Phone app provides easy sync between Android and Windows 10, offering desktop access to the latest 25 photos in the mobile gallery, as well as text message management from the PC. You can send and receive messages just like you’re chatting from your computer, all without even touching the smartphone. Source

Sounds an interesting feature, together with WhatsApp on my computer, to use use device while working. Now, let's note that I'm not 100% happy with whatsapp running form my computer as connectivity sometimes fails, even having my smartphone on the same table with my laptop or computer. mikie
Microsoft should make or buy themselves a WiFi telephone company and give us a phone/voice/sms app. I use the google voice phone number to forward to the win10 TextNow app on the phone and pc. Works good enough.
