MATTHEWS, N.C. — Authorities say a student shot and killed another student at a North Carolina high school before being arrested.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools issued a statement saying the student was shot Monday morning at Butler High School in Matthews, about 12 miles southeast of Charlotte. The Matthews Police Department said the student was taken to a hospital in critical condition where they later died.

The police statement said the suspect was also a student. Investigators have the weapon used. Police believe the shooting was an “isolated incident,” and authorities have secured campus. The school district said there is no further danger.

Fox 8  reported the incident stemmed “from a student conflict.” The victim was shot in a main hallway and then the shooter allegedly made his way to a classroom. It was there that he was taken into custody.

Dozens of parents gathered outside of the school of about 2,000 students to wait. Lockdown was apparently lifted around 9:15 a.m., and students streamed out, many crying and hugging parents.

You know (although it's not about where i been).  And it has been a few years more than 242 as a manner of practicalities, just that it took a while to sign the official papers.

In any case, what has happened just in one week is heartbreaking.  Sad.  Very sad that we are unable to unite even in our hour of grief.  May God Bless US.

Before the internet and people poking fun at each other on Facebook  nothing ever happen like this in schools  hardly ever but outside the schools  people get shot every day ,, It just depends  were you live at ,  all it takes is someone to be picked on and snap . The selfies , screen shots and stuff they say and put on social media  leads to suicide and violence.  But adults have always been very violent  but now days you even see the social media apologizing for hosting crazy people on there platforms because there under fire  from Governments,  but there like 27 years  too late ..They  allowed it for 27 years the whole internet culture has gone wrong for so long.
