nir
Action Center opened on the opposite side of the screen While we’re still waiting for Microsoft to push the go-ahead button for Windows 10 version 1809 the second time, the company keeps resolving bugs in preview builds, and some of these fixes may be aimed at the October update too. The most recent preview build shipped by Microsoft to the Fast ring of the Windows Insider program addresses a problem hitting the Action Center and which I’ve seen reported as impacting Windows 10 version 1809 too. The Action Center, which is the place to go for checking notifications or accessing quick actions, sometimes opens on the left side of the screen and not on the right as it’s supposed to. This behavior takes place for just a second before it shows up correctly on the right of the desktop. Microsoft says that this behavior has been resolved in Windows 10 build 18267 available for participants in the Windows Insider program. “We fixed an issue where the Action Center might suddenly appear on the opposite side of the screen before appearing on the correct side,” the release notes read. Notification bug fix Additionally, there’s also a fix for a second Action Center problem related to notifications displayed on Windows 10 PCs. “We fixed an issue resulting in the Action Center icon sometimes showing a number of unread notifications, however when you opened Action Center it would be blank,” Microsoft says. Windows 10 October 2018 Update has also experienced issues with notifications, but it’s not yet clear if these two are related or not. Microsoft suspended the rollout of Windows 10 version 1809 after it discovered a bug causing the removal of user files stored in libraries. A fix has already been developed and it’s currently being tested with help from insiders in the Slow and Release Preview rings, though for now, there’s no ETA as to when the public release could resume.Source
BimBamSmash
I think have seen the first issue on almost all versions of Windows 10. More regularly on 1809 but I don't think it is 1809 that started it. The second one is indeed a 1809 thing. We've had quite a bit of stir over this at work as a matter of fact. Some paranoids (and there are lots of them at our workplace it seems) went as far as claiming their systems are being spied upon (i.e. their notifications being read by others before them). And usually IT staff is the first to take the heat. It's been fun.
