nir Posted October 18, 2018 Share Posted October 18, 2018 New build available for Skip Ahead and Fast ring insiders Microsoft has just released a new Windows 10 preview build for insiders in the Skip Ahead and Fast ring. Windows 10 build 18262 is a preview of the update that Microsoft will ship in the spring of the next year, and the company has baptized it 19H1. This new build introduces a Task Manager update to show DPI awareness per process. In case you don’t see this new column, you need to enable it manually by right-clicking any column header and then adding DPI Awareness to the list. Furthermore, Microsoft is previewing some changes that would eventually allow users to remove pre-installed apps, while also shipping troubleshooting improvements to make the process of fixing problems with the operating system a more seamless process. New Narrator features Narrator is also getting its own share of refinements, and it now features reading by sentence. “You can now read next, current and previous sentences in Narrator. Read by sentence is available with the keyboard and with touch. Move by sentence doesn’t yet work for Braille,” Microsoft explains. “Sentence is now a new Narrator view and can be reached via Caps + Page Up or Caps + Page Down and then you can navigate with Caps + Left arrow for move by previous sentence and Caps + Right arrow for move by next sentence.” As all the other builds, this new release includes a bunch of other changes, improvements, and fixes, but also several known issues, and you can check them out in the box below. One particular bug that’s worth having in mind when updating to this build impacts Settings, as the app can crash when doing actions on certain pages. Windows Security is also affected, and Microsoft says it is investigating. Windows 19H1 is projected to be finalized in the spring ahead of a planned April release. RTM should be ready in March 2019. They're pushing features that nobody wants or are going ever used... that's insane! And for memory usage, it worsens with every build... damn Micro$hit!
