nir
Microsoft has continuously been making improvements to its Edge browser on Android and iOS, adding the ability to see inked notes, support for organizational accounts, and more. Today, Apple users have some more improvements to look forward to, as the Edge team has released version 42.6.1 of the browser to beta testers. There are a few changes in this update, notably the inclusion of support for Siri shortcuts, a feature introduced with iOS 12 last month, and this means you'll be able to access the browser right from the lock screen. Microsoft also added new quick actions to help users get things done faster. Here's the full changelog: Press and hold buttons in the bottom bar to see quick actions Open the browser directly from the lock screen with Siri shortcuts Use the browser widget in the Today screen to get to quick actions and top sites When you reopen Microsoft Edge, choose to continue where you left off or start afresh with a new tab Performance improvements Microsoft's mobile apps have gotten quite a bit of attention recently, with the release of the highly anticipated version 5.0 of Microsoft Launcher with support for Windows Timeline last week, and OneNote introducing support for syncing with the Windows 10 Sticky Notes app earlier today. This is a minor release in comparison, but you can still download Edge for iOS from the App Store if these enhancements interest you. Karlston
Microsoft can't even get more than a handful of Edge users on their flagship Windows 10, so why do they bother porting it to other OS's? Users are crying out for much better update Quality Assurance from Microsoft, but instead Microsoft wastes its time and resources on this pointless nonsense...
