uth88
I'm about to finish assembling my new PC, and everything before completing the hardware part, I wanted to download the fresh & up to date software to install on my new system. But when inquired, I found there are 2 latest versions of Windows 10 (Version 1803) available on Internet, Business & Consumer. Now, I already have collected a few Windows 7 Professional COA product keys from my office's 5 years old PCs which are scrapped now. So, someone please tell which version should I download, to install on my new system, with which I can activate the OS with 1 of the collected Windows 7 Professional COA product keys. KXR75
Consumer ISO = Retail Bussiness ISO = VLSC Actually... any version of Windows ISO can be activated using Retail, OEM, or Volume keys. Unlike Office must be activated with the key that suit with type of channel. Retail ISO only can be activate with Retail key and Volume ISO only with Volume MAK key. Rekkio
My recommendation is that you avoid anything remotely mainstream or consumer. Mainstream and consumer software are hell on Earth. Corporate and Enterprise software on the other hand are like Heaven. Operating System For Windows 10 use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 (original ISO and do not update). For Windows 7 use Windows 7 Enterprise (update only Internet Explorer 11). Activation For Windows activation use Microsoft Toolkit. The KMS (Activation server) will be hosted locally on your computer. Protection For exploit protection use Malwares Anti-Exploit Premium. To protect against Windows updates in Windows 10 use DWS (Destroy Windows 10 Spying). Quality In overall, the following applies almost everywhere. It even applies to physical goods and hardware. Crap Quality mainstream, consumer, public, user-friendly, people, student, home, personnal, stable. Awesome Quality professional, developer, business, enterprise, corporate, network, server, government.
tombraider
Consumer ISO = Retail / OEM (i.e . . . Basic / Home / Single Language) Bussiness ISO = VLSC (i.e . . . Windows Pro / Enterprise) for upgrade check this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/windows-10-specifications

WindowsAddict
@uth88 Use of Business VL iso for Windows 10 is almost unnecessary. Consumer iso includes everything which is present in Business iso. Consumer iso have advantages over business iso, In case of oem License it is easy for consumer iso to get Digital activation where in business iso you may have to first enter generic keys. this also applies to s1ave77 method to get license or if you use a product key. on windows reinstall consumer will auto activate but business iso won't. consumer iso will have home edition which you can use if you have oem license for it, but with vl iso you cant install home, but in consumer iso you can get any business vl edition e.g. enterprise just by entering its gvlkeys. so by this i conclude that with consumer iso you have more advantages but with business iso you don't really have any advantage.
