Instead of the usual stream of torrents, they see a "no torrents found" notice. While this appears to be a relatively small technical issue there is reason for concern, as the site's founder is missing in action . As one of the oldest torrent communities online, the Demonoid tracker has gone though many ups and downs. The site has suffered long stretches of downtime, faced legal threats, dealt with internal struggles, but survived nonetheless. Earlier this year the tracker processed its ten millionth user registration. Things were relatively calm and the original founder, Deimos, was back in charge, working on several improvements. “I want to to see the community we had back. Don’t know if it’s possible but that’s my aim,” Deimos told us last year when the site started to recover from a long stint of downtime. The community indeed started to grow again, but roughly a week ago Demonoid ran into what appears to be a technical issue. Suddenly, the torrents started to ‘disappear’ from the site. Instead of seeing the usual flood of fresh content, users saw a “no torrents found” message. Strangely enough, the top torrents list is working normally. Also, torrents may occasionally appear and disappear after several refreshes, as shown here, but there’s clearly something wrong. While this could be a relatively simple database issue, there’s a more serious concern. It’s not just the torrents that are missing in action, Deimos is also unreachable, even for members of the site’s staff. “Deimos is nowhere to be found for the last few days and I can’t reach him,” Demonoid staffer Phaze1G says, noting that it’s a major problem. Phaze1G says he last spoke to Deimos over a week ago and hasn’t been able to get a hold of him since. Demonoid’s founder was dealing with some personal issues and a business trip, but the lack of communication is unusual. TorrentFreak also reached out to Deimos a few days ago through our usual channel, but we haven’t heard back since. While there’s reason for concern, without more information, there’s no reason to panic. Phaze1G informs us that all torrents are still showing up in the test version of the new design, so they’re on the servers somewhere. This means that there’s likely a small issue that needs to be fixed. However, Deimos is the only person with server-side access, so people must wait for his return. Meanwhile, Phaze1G cautions users not to spread any wild rumors. “The site is not hacked, stolen, compromised, FBI / CIA conspiracy, and so on,” he notes. I had crappy internet back in the day so I used Kazza lite and imesh lite by DR.Damn these had all the spyware/adware removed they worked on a different network than BitTorrent to download things when i 1st started on warez boards i just had dailup and mostly only downloaded/uploaded software and music and i had tons of software topics i started at appznet and t only i used torrents back then was to get the Lavasoft Anti Adaware release it was only at demonoid , those reverse engineers were like the only p2p cracking group i ever seen. Most all releases i had direct access .. FTP direct access to the scene , web distro and Appznet had there own cracking team with there own FTP. I never got in to torrents tell 2011 i used private sites mostly and public sites very little that's back when i left warez boards for 2 years but i got tired of having to seed 24/7 so i just went to using Filelockers again . . Now days i just use Cloud torrent were anti piracy cant spy on me , if i use my browser i ether use a one of the torrent search engines or 1337x. and RU Tracker ,TPB sometimes. But also I have a kodi addon that scans 21 torrent sites at once and sends the upload right to my Cloud torrent account for streaming or i can stop it from streaming and download it it from my acounnt with IDM or J Downloader 2 Full 4k and 1080p BluRay Disc ,1080p , 720p , SD WEB / BRRiP and DVDRip .DVDSCR etc scene and P2P . The addon scans 21 torrent sites in 1 minute flat and removes duplicates from the results. P.S.That's what happen to Appznet a few years after i left the site and was going to go back the Owner went MIA and had known health problems so i made this site my home forum but still retired from uploading to the public done been famous Amos once ..Now i just post news and sometimes freeware ,I still upload 1 on 1 in private for friends that don't make me fell like i relapsed I use to be addicted to helping people and it became a problem. IDM for my movies vids programs etc was lucky here won a lifetime IDM license and use NR's recommended IDM mod on my desktop my music is extracted from my vids my movies and tv series IDM does the job here https://www.seehd.uno/release-year/2018/ Use a trail reset for my VPN so not much use for torrents these days ? I pay for a service lets me download from most all hosters and cloud torrent for like 18 bucks for 6 months they gave me 30 more free days for renewing . I pay via Bitcoin but they have other methods and resellers too. VPN i been paying for that for some years, atm i have 2 paid vpns. and i have 3 back up drives and several cloud storage accounts.
