debebee
Just because it scores high on that test means its good.. In my part of the world... Trend Micro Av sucks at keeping their PCs clean.. I had to use my AV of choice to clean a friend's company PC that is supposed to be protecting it better than NOD
Atasas
depends on a user knowledge and abilities, but for a "intense" enviroment, I used Comodo Internet Security (CIS Premium) fairly successfully, although it had never proven to be user friendly or "understanding" ANW, install has been fiddly, so far can't tell if any good and my test case of infections is obviously outdated Time permitting, will play a bit more, to come back with yay or ney
Atasas
right, already got annoyed with bits and bobs for activation, controls via browser, false advertising in tricking you to get premium (trial) version etc... @teodz1984 agree- not good at all, removing it

Yes, funny but it should..... since with win 10 spying and tracking abilities with all files, it owns the device and not user controlled whatsoever blocking techniques, tools used. The best example is AI. With old computerized tech, we couldn't achieve what AI does. Now/in near future, AI owns us as slaves to them. If humans think twice before buying Windows devices esp Win10 and its co-s/w that they encourage this $h*t attitude as good.

steven36
In the real world not every person is going be using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro RS3 64 Bit Or have up-to-date third-party software (such as Adobe Flash, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Java, etc.) witch are security vulnerabilities themselves or visit tens of thousands malicious URLs or subject themselves to lots of known working exploits. This test should be called the fantasy world test. If you read the fine print Quote We would like to point out that while some products may sometimes be able to reach 100% protection rates in a test, it does not mean that these products will always protect against all threats on the web. It just means that they were able to block 100% of the widespread malicious samples used in a test. Nothing is going to protect you against unknown threats. Yes it called a zero day infects everyone regardless of what AV they use and they get the signature a month latter like what happen with CC Cleaner . Avira Antivirus in the past from what i seen had a very high detection rate but the problem was they also have a high false positive rate . So you spend most of you're time at virus total trying to figure out what real and not real. Most any of them can be turned up were they will detect more than they come from the vendor if you don't mind false positives, But some of them just have lots of fp no matter what.
