Are you serious right now??

 

You believe a developer who invested his time and money to make an app would give someone all of that for free just because the requester requested via email?

 

Am I listening to this all wrong or is it all some kind of elite sarcasm??

He is. Depends on who the developer is. If it's a company, they'll ignore it. Or if it's a person who wants to make money, he'll ignore it too.

 

sometimes  it may work.

 

Either way, the thread is pretty useless and is a click bait
