And do you have the scheduled task related to startisback++ or no? I reckon that is necessary so as for the windows update to not break it. Uninstall the patch one and install just the trial and see if your issue is fixed or no? Also notice whether the trial one schedules a task or no? Here's the service I'm talking about:- Reveal hidden contents Here is an export of that task, open task scheduler and import it. Manually run it, and then restart your PC and see if it has some effect.
