angel
Mozilla has just released an urgent update, Firefox 58.0.1 , to solve a critical problem in Microsoft Windows computers. This error gave failures when loading a page in the browser. It comes a week after the launch of the new version of the browser, Firefox 58. Recently we talked extensively about the news and changes it brought . Firefox 58.0.1 As we know, we can run manual checks of updates in Firefox by clicking on the menu icon and selecting Help> About Firefox in the options that are opened. However this update arrives automatically through the browser. Users who wish may also download it manually through the web oficial. Designated as bug 1433065 , Firefox did not load any page. Even when entering about: pages. It is the main mistake that has made the company launch an emergency update. The user who opened the bug in Bugzilla, described the problem as Firefox does not load any web page, including local, and shows a white background instead. He reported that certain exploit mitigation settings would cause the pages not to display correctly in Firefox. Validate stack integrity (StackPivot), Validate API Invocation (Call Check), Simulate Execution (SimExec), and Import Address Filtering (IAF) caused the white page problem in Firefox while Export Address Filtering (EAF) blocked the browser . The number of users who have been accepted is unknown . However it seems that it has been large enough to launch a new update of this type. Maintains two problems Of course, it must be mentioned that Firefox 58.0.1 maintains two unsolved problems that also affected version 58.0. These problems are the following: Users running Firefox for Windows through a Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) may find that audio playback is disabled due to increased security restrictions. Users who run certain screen readers may experience performance issues and are advised to use Firefox ESR until the performance issues are resolved in a future future release. As we have mentioned, we will have to wait for a new update to resolve these two incidents. At least, Mozilla seems to have solved the most urgent one that has led him to remove Firefox 58.0.1 in the last hours. The error when loading a page should be resolved in those users who were affected. As we know, Mozilla Firefox is one of the most used browsers worldwide. Millions of users around the world choose it as their favorite browser. There are many who use it in Microsoft Windows operating systems, which seems to have been the ones affected by this error. Kalju
A critical failure to load pages forces Mozilla to launch an urgent update.... It's strange to hear, if lately was tons of shouts, how good and fast is the new FF ... And if somebody dared to say that it was really very slow, followed a series of massive insulting posts. Hello Kalju...I'm wondering if my "problem" (24 seconds on every start up) with Firefox 58 is related to something in Firefox and not something outside of it. When it automatically updated to 58.0.1 I thought I might get lucky and find the problem gone...no such luck!!...now in addition to the 24 second startup delay it also doesn't save window sizes ( e.g. I usually have Nsane page at 133% normal size to compensate for my bad vision...but if I return to Nsane after surfing a while it opens as a smaller size and I have to manually increase it's size. I know these are not earth shatteringly bad faults...but they are a nuisance and maybe leading to something else. I did all the suggested solutions I could find..Refresh, New Profile, No Add-Ons enabled, rename the xulstore.json file, checked ESET firewall and antivirus settings, disabled hardware acceleration, etc etc but the faults persist. I'll live with it for now, but I wonder if these faults have manifested themselves in other folk's computers.

I wouldn't know , to me it don't matter to me what someone else uses, I don't use Firefox anymore very often, other than i have it on my other computer that has Linux Mint because it came with the OS. It could be worse, it could of came with Edge like the OS i have on the other partition on my Dell I'm on now . I use forks of Firefox with the legacy addons that I like and as long as browsers that get updates that use old addons exist, i will keep using them for my default browsers. Keep in mind I beta tested Firefox 57 i found it really glitchey with the new web addons , so after i cleaned installed things, other than in that one OS i don't have it, and now i'm down to using 3 OS 2 Linux ones 95% of the time and Windows 5% of the time Last time i went on windows was the beginning of January long enough to do a few updates and i got frustrated at havening to update stuff and booted back into Linux were i get all my updates I want with my update manger in small doses at a time. If that's not possible then atleast write about it here.
funkyy
Thanks DTK27 I have sent in a description to Mozilla using your link....I did a complete system image restore today with a system image I made on 17th Jan....before this slow start up began. I updated iFF57 to FF 58.0.1 and the slow 24 seconds start up is still there...although mysteriously it remembers the window size setting now..I just checked it by setting Nsane's window at 133%, closing it and then re-opening it and it was saved at 133%. I'll see how it performs over the next few days. Thanks again.
