Reefa
The popular torrent meta-search engine Torrentz2 is without links to external torrent sites once again, for some, which makes the site harder to use. This time the issue is not caused by the site though, but by ad-blockers that use the popular Easylist filter. With millions of visits per day, Torrentz2 is without a doubt the most popular torrent meta-search engine on the Internet. The site took this spot from the original Torrentz site, which surprisingly closed its doors during the summer of 2016. Up until a month ago everything was running smoothly, but that changed when links to other torrent sites disappeared late December. Instead of a metasearch engine, Torrentz2 turned into a database of torrent metadata, and traffic started to drop off. Torrentz2 remained without links for roughly three weeks, after which the site, just as surprisingly, returned to its former glory. But that didn’t last very long. Starting yesterday, all links mysteriously disappeared again, without any official explanation. However, this time it only affects users who run an ad-blocker. Initially we assumed that the issues were affecting all users, but upon closer inspection this is not the case. This means that the current issue is in no way related to the earlier disappearance. The issues are the result of the EasyList Adblock filter which appears to block all nofollow links on Torrentz2. Since most adblockers use this list, many people are affected. The good news for affected users is that they can solve the issue by simply disabling the adblocker on the site. Alternatively, they can also disable the EasyList filter in their ad-blocker, or fiddle with other settings. Update: Shortly after publication we learned that the disappearing links are the result of EasyList and adblockers. We updated the article accordingly. source

straycat19
Interesting. I tested it using Adguard with Easylist and it worked fine. So it is working again or not or with Adguard and not other adblockers or not. Confusing but as long as it works who's complaining.
Undertaker
If it's still causing problems at your end, add the following rule to your custom/user/my filters list:- torrentz2.eu#@#a[rel="nofollow"][href]
Administrator DKT27 Posted January 28, 2018 Administrator Share Posted January 28, 2018 These days I feel the above mentioned site is more trustable than some of the top ones out there. So not seeing those links some times back was kinda bad. So good to see they can be brought back here.

I don't really trust this site at all , The owner of the site did not say they could use there name so they rose to fame on another sites good name and easylist or the website in question has fixed the issue by now and unless you use a user script like the at the fork or addon like Karlston posted this site just causes you extra clicks to get to main website were the torrent or magnet is hosted anyway. I have other search engines I like better that already have the magnet at there site and are not well known and don't have the user base this one does, so it's not overloaded and being watched as much and the one i use mostly, tells you who the uploader was and are they trusted are not . When you use a site used by the masses that is p2p the next thing you know you will be crying the blues when they close down . When a site I use gets to many users it's a sign for me to find another site before it closes down. Same thing happened to some of the big forums that used filehost as well in 2017. Someone like me who pays for a service to debird torrents from my download manger and stream them via devices cant use the hash like qBittorrent can and the hash was still visible anyway and I think you said that was the client you used for p2p . With using qBittorrent all you need is the hash , but it want work for the way I download torrents because I don't use p2p to do it anymore lol . The heck with getting warnings from my isp or maybe worse . Even though I have a VPN i still don't like fooling with being watched by every government and BitTorrent troll from all over the world . Even in countries that use to be safe havens for downloading are not safe any more . Seedboxes , Private trackers and services that upload torrents for direct download that seed for you is were it is at . I made a lot of changes in 2018 i evolved into the cloud . If you can't beat them join them .
