Galaxy S9 leak spills all the specs and features

A bit of a box leak this week added to the massive stack of leaks for the Galaxy S9 over the past several weeks and months. As we’ve got tips on essentially every possible angle on this device, it would seem that we’ve got the full picture. Now all we’ve got to get is in the front door of the Samsung event that’ll almost certainly take place on the 24th or 25th of February in Barcelona, Spain.

The box in question might change the game. Not because it’s a groundbreaking leak, but because it confirms a camera setup that’ll put the Galaxy S9 in a whole new category of powerful smartphone camera. Samsung’s box – or the box that’s probably a real-deal Galaxy S9 box – calls it a “Super Speed Dual Pixel” 12MP camera setup, rolling with a variable F1.5/F2.4 aperture That’s wacky!

Above and below are photos of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The real Samsung Galaxy S9 has yet to be revealed, but will likely look extremely similar to its predecessor. And there’s no reason to suspect it’ll be any less waterproof than previous devices!

While it might seem like we’ve got the full collection of specs here straight from Samsung, keep in mind: Nothing’s official until Samsung’s big event. That said, we’re pretty sure we’ve got the full collection of bits and pieces right here, right now. Just don’t put any big money on em.

If these lists of specs are indeed what the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are going to be, we’ve got a couple more incremental updates on our hands. These devices will, regardless, be amongst the best selling phones in the world for the year 2018. It’s basically inevitable.

Stick close to the action here on SlashGear as we inch closer to the event in Barcelona. After that, it’d be positively shocking if Samsung’s release of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus took place any further out than mid-March. Get your pocketbooks ready – these won’t be cheap!
