The IDM Integration Module 6.30.6 fails to work with the latest Mozilla Firefox 52.6.0 ESR that was released today — it works fine with the previous Mozilla Firefox 52.5.3 ESR, though.

I don't like trial. I use hack registry and never seen the message fake serial.

It sounds very interesting!

Could you please let me know how to hack the registry so that I don't have to use patches?

Thanks

Heads Up:—

The IDM Integration Module 6.30.6 fails to work — however, an older Integration Module 6.27.7 works, for me (matter of fact, upon restarting my Mozilla Firefox 52.6.0 ESR, this older 6.27.7 prompted to be installed.)

I'm guessing the 6.27.7 might be the idmmzcc2.xpi residing at the C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager directory — not sure about this (it's all quite strange, though.)

Checking for Add-on Updates using ESR 52.5.3 has not prompted for installation of 6.30.6 here and I manually check for updates every other day.

idmmzcc2.xpi inIDM's  installation folder is 6.27.7 - and that's after installing IDM version 6.30.6... I wonder where 6.30.6 came from?

I didn't know that was compatible with Firefox ESR 52.x Add-ons as it doesn't contain an install.rdf file within it.

In the list of advice, there are a few things missing :

  • close the browser and IDM
  • check all the processus because it could true (IDM is still running)

And for once IDM is late because the addon isn't yet ready for Firefox_v60.0a1-Nightly. I haven't notice it these last months but I don't use this browser branch very often.

The 6.27.7 is indeed idmmzcc2.xpi file with support for firefox browsers upto v52.*

IDM never officially provided support for the nightly versions(barring one time that I remember).

You'll have to modify the addon yourself to make it work.

  1. Open the file idmmzcc3.xpi (with one software such as 7-zip, etc)
  2. Edit the file manifest.json
  3. Replace the value of "strict_max_version"
  4. Update the file idmmzcc3.xpi (restart until it ask you to confirm it)
  5. Open the page about:config
  6. Disable these settings (I don't recall which one exactly but I will assume it was the couple : xpinstall.signatures.required or xpinstall.whitelist.required)

At the beginning, no it didn't work. Because according to Firefox there is one error (data corrupted archive damaged).

But I believe I had found one solution. At least, for now it seem's to work.

The value of xpinstall.signatures.required should be false.

Maybe you didn't delete the META-INF folder as it contains the files related to original signature(which would not match the new edited one, for obvious reasons).

I don't think it's just me but the Sharecode button is currently missing on the reply box.

Are there plans to reinstate it?

I suspect that disabling Indexing does cause some hiccups to the IDM integration (further impaired by the non-standard installation path of the Nightly.) yXZVmpE.gif

Maybe.

What I suspected was since the new IDM integration module (I think) uses websocket for contacting the IDM app, and you had that(websocket conn.) blocked in your adblocker, and hence the problems.
