The reason I asked about proxy is that there are IP related problems with your account. Not a big one at all, some staff too have them too. But I wonder if that is causing this.

Is this happening on just one device or all of them.

I use most Mozilla Firefox 55.0.3 browser to log in and browse the forums. Also I clean cache and data everyday.

The issue is probably cookies related, not cache related I think.

Even though I clean data (cache, cookies, etc) every day?

That's good enough. Thanks for the information. Either it's IP related issue I had mentioned earlier or a bug in IPB. We will look into it.

It's likely that what you are saying is correct. If that is so, we will need to disable HTTPS even for the login page. Then, we will have a popup for the login. Or, we enforce HTTPS for all the pages, which breaks the pages. So either it's this or that. I think the HTTPS for login is better than having no HTTPS at all that allows popup login.

I hope nsaners can bear this issue if HTTPS version bugs are fixed ASAP. Until then, pls try to implement this rule:

When user is not logged in and for visitors, HTTPS version is enabled by default. Post login, switches/redirects to HTTP version automatically.

From what I can understand, there cannot be two different rules here - one for guests and one for members. If there was an option given for it I would have considered it.

Also, HTTPS might also break for guests, so no use enabling it.

If you force https  the site  is not secure no way unless  the end  user  blocks  display mixed content  in there browser and you want be able too see anything hosted on http .  There are many sites that have this bug that  use https and there no more secure than a man  in the moon because they host  or allow non https content on there site so http is leaking you're data out the whole time. There is a big hole in it  unless you close it in you're browser yourself .

I believe there are some server side settings in which the sever administrators can force all the urls to be HTTPS. This is different from a site just being full HTTPS though.

I like the way you have it now  were i can set my browser too block  display mixed content  and sign in secure  and it switches back too http then i can see everything . There is really no use having https unless you force everyone too use it on board.

It's for those members who do not have any avatars. The new forum version adds a alphabet to their avatar based on the first alphabet of their username.

Hi all,

I was out for few days. Finally, what's new?
Is the Search works normally or not yet?

Regards

It's still indexing. A lot better than previously, but still taking time.

As I have said before, for all the forum posts to be indexed completely, we either have to take the forums offline for a couple of days or let it do in the background, taking it's own time here.

Search works for CCleaner but not for Nitro PDF, Beyond Compare neither

Not a bug... Just a huge incovenience.

For posters with many and detailed posts (ex: NR), the threads previously created are a big pain to maintain readable in a decent way.

Compatibility is not a strong suit for these new versions of the forum.

Can it just be stoped (the latest vesion race) ?... As long as security wise is not a problem or can be "small patched"...

I have not been able to read all the posts in the thread, I apologize in advance if it has already been said. Notifications of subscribed threads whenever I have a new notification starts from previous pages where I had already seen them. It does this to me in all notifications, I don't think it's a matter of my browser.

Past notifications are indeed related to indexing from what I know - I could be wrong though. But I have not got any such problems here.

Search function still not functioning well after a week of trying it out.  Simple search string such as 'photozoom' or 'dps' shows little to null from my end (still)...
