It cause a problem and only on this forum. I tested everywhere but in here causing problem with the editor. I'm working on it.

With the Firefox/Chrome addon Stylus and some CSS you can change it. For example this CSS...

.ipsPagination_active a {
    color: white !important;
    background:green !important;
    font-style: italic !important;
    font-size:24px !important;
}

...makes it look like this (am using a different theme, but you can see some of the things which can be changed in any theme)...
