Malaysia's Youngest Doctor Is This 19 Year Old Lady!

Chan Hao Shan, a 19-year-old Malaysian young lady, is set to be  the nation’s most youthful doctor when she graduates one year from now from Taylor’s University, a private college in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

 

The undergrad who is taking her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) said that her enthusiasm for medicine begun after her mom was had breast cancer when she was eight years of age.

 

She stated: “I was interested about the human body and its capacities. For instance, what truly occurs in a man’s throat when he swallows something?”

 

To satiate her developing interest, she read broadly on the human body.

 

The splendid young lady at that point finished her Form 1 and 2 contemplates in two months and took an additional two months to finish her Form 3 considers and the GCE O-Level examinations.

 

She finished her whole auxiliary school training in a year.

I was starting 5th semester of engineering but a friend actually graduated at 20 as Civil Engineer. Another acquaintance finished seven years of medicine at 21. My sister graduated in Social Communications ( journalism) at 20 but it was 4 years  of pensum

What to prefer an uptoday knowledge and well certify physician or a not uptoday enough but experience physician? I know that other similar conditions is a matter of preference or availability of the physician.

Certainly, she probably has an outstanding intelligence and also great capacity, vocation and future for medicine... but nothing scares me more than seeing a just graduated "doctor" attending patients.

There is an expression in Spanish:

Más sabe el diablo por viejo que por diablo

I don't have the exact equivalent in English, maybe someone can help me in this but literal translation is "The devil is wiser for being OLD than for being the devil" or

"The devil is wiser more because he's old than because he's the devil"  and simply it means  There's no substitute for experience
